Developed for patients -
built for data
The Paragit Sleeve is comfortable, easy to use, and non-invasive while it gives health care professionals and researchers an important picture of patients’ symptoms profiles and treatment responses
The Paragit Sleeve consists of comfortable textile, powerful sensor system, and patch for flexible body placement.
How it works
The textile
The Paragit Sleeve is developed to be worn on the patient’s forearm or the calf – as instructed by the clinician. A comfortable fit is key for the patient not to be bothered during everyday life, and the sleeve comes in two sizes: S/M and M/L.
The wearable textile is designed for use in an in-home environment and to secure the best possible conditions for the sensors crucial to the sensitive and consistent data collection.
The sensor system
The Paragit Sleeve carries the Paragit Recording Unit (PRU) and the corresponding PRU Adapter. It is equipped with powerful sensors, that enables measurement of movement (six degrees of freedom), and muscle activity (surface electromyography sEMG).
The sensors capture crucial information on muscle function and abnormal movement, which cannot be observed by the clinician. During remote monitoring, sources of noise can interfere with the recording of the sEMG signals. Paragit’s proprietary Impedance Compensation Circuit (ICC) ensures identification and compensation for movement-induced artifacts and impendence misbalances to collect reliable, stable, and consistent data throughout the day. The circuit further enables quantification of excessive sweating, which can be a marker of the wearing-off effect in Parkinson’s disease.
The highly sensitive data from the Paragit Sleeve is automatically transferred to a secure cloud to be analyzed trough NeuroInsight or NeuroMetric Pro.
Key features
Use cases
Data from the Paragit Sleeve provides important support and insights for health care professionals and researchers.
Health Care Professionals
Data is automatically transferred to a secure cloud and visualized in NeuroInsight. This enables clinicians and health care professionals to implement data-driven disease management in the treatment of patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Research and Trials
Data is automatically transferred to a secure cloud and visualized in NeuroMetric Pro. This enables researchers and scientists to analyze movement, muscle activity, and grip force from patients with chronic movement disorders.
